In my opinion marijuana should be legalized in all states in the United States because marijuana has become a big part of our society. Marijuana has helped a lot of people with their illnesses and other health problems. Marijuana is the main topic in todays news. Instead of a gateway drug as it is called by many other it is also a medicinal plant that helps millions of people each day with their problems.
Marijuana is used as a medicinal plant by many people for example people use it to stop their seizures in less than 10 minutes this is proven by a laboratory in the university of Chico, this plant can stop and kill cancerous cells. But this topic has brought a lot of controversies concerning the legalization of this drug in all states. This has become also a problem to people that use it as medical purposes because the states they live in is still consider as an illegal drug which makes people move from across the country to other states were it is legal.
Medical Marijuana is something new to the medical Field even though its something new they have found hundreds of illnesses that can be treated or erased for completely with the use of Marijuana. Doctors are still looking for ways to consume the treatment and other illnesses that can be treated. People argue that Marijuana is more safe than other prescription drugs, as I read in an article of “The Magic In Drugs” there is no prove of someone overdosing on Marijuana but yet thousands die every day of prescription drugs overdoses.
A lot of people argue on the concern of marijuana leading to other drugs like Heroin, LSD, crack, Meth and other drugs that are being used by hundreds of people in the Unites States. This is the reason why Marijuana is is called a Gateway drug because leads to other Stronger drugs. I personally think this is a lie on my behalf because marijuana will always give you the same effects depending on your brain, if someone decides to try other drugs then that’s on them they don’t need blame their drug abuse problems on a plant.
